The Versatile Blogger Award

This year has been a great year for our blog. We won several awards and even recently got nominated in the Top 10 Singapore Blog Awards 2014. But the Versatile Blogger Award is where you are nominated by your peers – and that’s something very special. Thank you Travel Notes & Beyond for selecting us! It is truly an honour to be in your list of outstanding blogs.

1. We have been married for 6 years and our first holiday together was to Bali, Indonesia
2. Travel and Beyond was initially created in 2011 as a way to document our journeys at a time we knew nothing about social media. It is amazing how much we have learnt and how much more there is to learn.
3. Rosemarie was an Aerospace and Defence Journalist before she got married to me.
4. We have made a few lovely friends through social media and that is simply amazing! Who would have thought!
5. We are not backpackers or budget travellers. We like a bit of comfort on our holidays! Our yearly trips are planned from our personal savings.
6. Rosemarie’s suitcase is always nearly full when setting out on a journey. She uses the space in my suitcase for her shopping!
7. Rosemarie is adventurous and loves the cold weather! I am more laid back. Give me a book and scenic landscape, I am in heaven. Our next holiday is my call!
