Jet Boating around the Sydney Harbour

by Rosemarie John on November 10, 2011

As always, the usual way one would opt to tour the Sydney Harbour is either by foot or by a short cruise. The option of a thrilling hair tossing ride on a jet boat rarely comes to mind! It’s the most exciting way to see the sights around the harbour with the wind in your hair and moments of sheer adrenaline rush when the jet boat makes signature sharp manoeuvres in the water.

Instead of cruising sedately under a sail for the entire trip, you will be flashed around at up to 80km/hr wave-riding and doing fishtails right after a calm and leisure ride with a well-rounded background of the Eastern shore. Be prepared to get a little wet and land up with slightly tilted photos of Sydney’s iconic structures.

Not to be missed, travellers will get to see all of the harbour’s main sights while the driver performs amazing extreme turns, power-brake stops and 270-degree spins! Their 45-minute Sydney Harbour Adventure  departs from the jetty near the Opera House on the eastern side of Circular Quay.

Tickets cost $49 for an adult and $25 for a child.
