The Marriott Courtyard is the latest entrant located in an enclave of large international 5-star resorts in south-eastern Bali.
Located 40km south of Denpasar is a private gated community of up-scale hotels and resorts of Nusa Dua. Newly gracing this glamorous getaway is the Marriott Courtyard, first of its kind within the Indonesian isles.
Opened in March 2011 as its 900th establishment, the Courtyard finds itself surrounded by golden sands, clear skies and blue tranquil beaches! Featuring 250 deluxe guest rooms with a modern feel coupled with unique paintings by Balinese artist I Gede Putra Udiyana, each room has a 32-inch LCD panel TVs, the usual satellite channels and signature Marriott Courtyard deluxe bedding providing just the right atmosphere for anyone to relax and soak in the sun on the island of the Gods.
The Courtyard’s MoMo Café offers a fusion of both Asian and western dishes with a huge breakfast spread at approximately IDR500,000 (USD57) per head. Fresh local ingredients, an open kitchen and wood-fire oven produce delightful aromas that create a warm home-like ambiance.
Also, MoMo 2 Go, open 24-hours a day provides “on the run” guests with a “grab and go” kiosk filled with sandwiches, pastries and a wide variety of beverages. Breakfast is enjoyed on the terrace beside the pool offering an unwinding experience.
Now, the Courtyard does not open out into a spread of sandy beach like some of the other resorts in Nusa Dua, however just a short walk or ride away is their very own private beach that is currently under construction. If you choose to visit them before its completion, you can opt to take a few minutes walk to Pantai Mengiat on the other end of the enclave for some sun, surf and sand!
If chillin at the hotel is more your thing, just grab a beach towel and decompress by the lagoon pool with a book, a cold fruit punch or a good lap around the curvy pool.
For keep-fit enthusiasts, the fully equipped gym at the hotel offers personal trainers and state of the art machines for a good cardio session before and after indulging in rich, scrumptious Balinese cuisine at the nearby Bali Collection restaurants. Bali Collection is a nearby cluster of shops that cater to your every need from grocery stores and fashionable boutiques to duty free shops and spas.
Unlike the famous Kuta, the Nusa Dua enclave scene is free of irritating touts that try to sell you everything from plastic giraffes to an idea of a five dollar massage lacking all intricate details of a true Balinese spa experience. Kuta in itself is an interesting experience that should not be missed if its your first time to the island that is, but if you’re looking for a quiet, serene, tranquil escape… the Courtyard Nusa Dua is just the spot!
The resort also has a poolside bar, kids club, health-club and spa. Located at Kawasan Pariwisata Lot SW1 Nusa Dua Bali, 80363 Indonesia, the Deluxe Pool Terrace Room rate is at approximately USD110 per night. For more information and rates visit their official website.
thanks for this post. will consider staying here when I go back to Bali!
Its a great place to stay… Nusa Dua is truly serene!
