In conjunction with the Spain Tourism Board and a creative way of creating a buzz of travel wants and desires, “An Evening in Spain” introduced South-East Asia’s newest travel agency – CheapTickets.sg. Commencing in November last year, CheapTickets.sg is an online travel agency offering flights on both budget and full-frill carriers through a quick and easy 24-hour online booking system.
Amidst lush green grass and garden seating, the official launch was graciously hosted at the residence of His Excellency Federico Palomera Guez, Spanish Ambassador to Singapore on 15 February 2012. As the air engulfed in the smells of herbs and sizzling crustaceans of a paella in the making and as beautiful dancers graced the stage, the flavour and ambiance of Spain was truly brought alive.
An ingenious way in introducing an online travel agency, guests were able to interact and immerse themselves in authentic Spanish culture. Although part of the global online company, Travix, based in the Netherlands, CheapTickets.sg truly captivated the spirit of Spain.
With delicious tapas from La Cicala Spanish Gastro Bar and a captivating Flamenco performance, a genre of music, song and dance from the Spanish region of Andalusia, an “evening in Spain” truly came alive.

Attracting over 60,000 visitors in its first week alone, the online travel agency is fast expanding into the South East Asian market. To complete the travel experience, a wide variety of hotels are also available for selection. With Singapore as its headquarters, CheapTickets.sg is also present in Bangkok, China and Hong Kong, and will soon be launching into Indonesia, Philippines and India.
