1. Lower Ground Food Court (below Woolworths)

Open daily for lunch until 3pm, this food court is perfect for a quick lunch. Its a small over crowded air-conditioned food court in the CBD that sells an array of mouth-watering Asian cuisines at reasonable prices. It can get pretty busy during lunch time so make sure you head down early. Pick Chinese Mix Rice if you want variety. The Food Court is located below the Woolworths Supermarket at 303 Pitt St, Pittsway Arcade, Sydney.

2. Guylian Belgian Chocolate Cafe

Got a sweet tooth? Drop by the cafe for the finest chocolate spreads, exquisite cakes and sumptuous desserts. The cafe’s sophisticated European ambience lends itself well to a shopping break or even a business lunch. From milk chocolate and golden hazelnut torte to dark chocolate raspberry cheesecake and tarts, they have a solution for every chocolate desire. The cafe also offers a range of salads and baguettes too! Guylian is located at East Circular, Quay Shop 10, Opera Quays, 3 Macquarie Street, Sydney.

3. Zellini’s Cafe

For a big breakfast and the best hot chocolate in town, head to Zellini’s in Randwick. Located just a little outside the CBD and boasting a huge menu at reasonable prices, the restaurant is known for its big portions. A must try if you’re in the area. Zellini’s is located at 34-38 Belmore Road, Randwick, Sydney.

4. The Rocks Foodies Market

Open on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, the food market is a great way to spend time with friends over a variety of food. You can find over 20 stalls showcasing fresh fruit juices, breads, sushi, kebabs, paella, grilled salmon, chocolates and much more. The Rocks Foodies Market is located at Jack Mundey Place – corner of Argyle and George Streets, Sydney.

5. La Renaissance Cafe Patisserie

With a pleasant courtyard area at the back, the patisserie offers a quaint atmosphere boasting that lovely Parisian charm. Established in 1974 as a family business and having a reputation as the city’s finest bakery, you can enjoy delicious cakes, pastries, savouries, chocolates, macarons, croissants, brioche and éclairs till you heart’s content. The patisserie is located at 47 Argyle Street, The Rocks, Sydney.
